Group Visit - Primary, Secondary and Special Schools

Ans: All activities held in InnoCarnival 2025 are free of charge, no admission tickets are required. If schools are interested in on-site visits of exhibition booths, please sign up and activate a “Type B: Schools / Groups / Charities” account on the event website innocarnival.hk in advance, as well as to submit the “Registration Form for Group Visit/School Bus Rental Subsidy” for group visit registration.


If schools are interested in enrolling in physical activities/online seminars, you may enroll online through the registered account when the online enrolment period starts from late September. The online enrolment details will be announced in due course, please pay attention to the “Latest News” on the event website. Please also submit the “Registration Form for Group Visit/School Bus Rental Subsidy” for group visit registration as well. The online quota for activities is limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis while quota lasts.

Ans: School bus rental subsidy is applicable for Primary, Secondary and Special Schools only.  However, schools must rent the bus themselves and settle the payment in advance. In addition to renting buses, schools can also take free shuttle buses to and from the venue from designated locations. Notes: Free shuttle bus does not offer charter services or seat reservations. Seats are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ans: Please sign up and activate a "Type B: Schools / Groups / Charities” account for applying for school bus rental subsidy (Please note that it is only applicable to Primary, Secondary and Special Schools).

After successful registration and activation of the account, you may sign in and select “My Account” after online enrolment for activities is started. Please select “Registration Form for Group Visit/School Bus Rental Subsidy” and click on “Registration Form”. Please fill in the form according to the application guidelines, a notification email will be sent after submitting the form.


For “Preliminary Approved” applications, please submit the actual student attendance list to the main reception upon your arrival. The original receipt and original invoice (if any) of school buses rental should be submitted together with the “School Bus Rental Subsidy Application Form” to the address listed on the form personally on or before 28 November 2025. (If the actual no. of attending students is less than 30, the application will not be processed.) Upon validation of the application and all documents, the subsidy will be transferred to the school's bank account directly (Any account whose name does not match with the name of the school is NOT accepted) or mailed the cheque to the school’s postal address. (If the cheque is lost during the postal delivery, HKFYG will not arrange to reissue the cheque.)


If the application status is shown as “Waitlisted”, it means our system has received a large number of applications, the total amount of school bus rental subsidy that can be approved has reached the limit. Hence, your application is currently on the waiting list. If there are applications from other schools that are cancelled or are not eligible after the completion of InnoCarnival 2025 on 26 October 2025, waitlisted applicants will be filled in according to the order of the waiting list and will be notified by email in December at the earliest. (The order of the waiting list will be based on the time of completing the “Registration Form for Group Visit/School Bus Rental Subsidy”). Please pay attention in due course.

Ans: NO. School bus rental subsidy is only applicable to primary, secondary and special schools. The applications from kindergartens, childcare centres, tertiary schools, charities and other groups are not accepted. In addition, each school bus must carry at least 30 students.

Notes: Teachers, parents of students, or other accompanying adults shall not be counted as students.

Ans: YES. "Type B: Schools / Groups / Charities” account can be used for applying for school bus rental subsidy, as well as enrolling in physical activities and online seminars (please note that group registration is NOT available for physical parent-child workshops). The school bus rental subsidy application and activity enrolment must be submitted separately according to the instructions issued on the website. Schools should fill in and submit Registration Form for Group Visit/School Bus Rental Subsidy” as soon as possible, as the subsidy approval will be arranged on a first-come, first-served basis (based on the time of registration submission).

Please submit the original receipts and original invoices (if any) of school buses rental together with the “School Bus Rental Subsidy Application Form” (only available in Chinese) to the address listed on the form personally on or before 28 November 2025. Ans: NO. The school bus rental subsidy is intended to encourage schools to visit the physical exhibition. It is not related to participation in physical activities/online seminars. The basic eligibility criteria for applying for school bus rental subsidy include: application must be submitted by primary, secondary or special schools and each school bus must carry at least 30 students. Schools must complete and submit “Registration Form for Group Visit/School Bus Rental Subsidy” in advance to register for the subsidy. All required documents must be submitted to the designated address listed on the form personally on or before 28 November 2025. Applications with completed and accurate documentation will be given processing priority. For the details and conditions of school bus rental subsidy application, please refer to the application guidelines on the event website.

Ans: Based on above special circumstances, special schools can first fill in and submit the registration form (the number of school buses and students must be filled in accurately based on 30 students per school bus when submitting the form, so that the budget of subsidy can be reserved for the school). Then, please send an email to [email protected] to explain the special circumstances after submitting the form. We will contact the teacher and follow up soon.

Ans: YES. The school bus rental subsidy amount will be determined based on the distance between the school and the venue, and whether the trip is single-trip or round-trip. For detailed information, please refer to the application guidelines issued on the event website.

Ans: YES. Each rented school bus must have a seating capacity of at least 30 passengers, and each school bus must carry a minimum of 30 students to be eligible for the school bus rental subsidy.


Example: If two 29-seater school buses each carry 1 teacher and 28 students, the arrangement does not meet the requirement of having at least 30 students per school bus. Therefore, it is not eligible for the subsidy.

Ans: NO. To be eligible for the school bus rental subsidy, each school bus must carry at least 30 students. As only one vehicle is rented, even if the bus transports 100 students, the school can only apply for the subsidy amount of one school bus.

Ans: YES. The designated location is the lay-by outside 10W Science Park West Avenue (in front of the Charles K. Kao Auditorium). Schools must display an A3-sized sign on the school bus front windshield with the words “InnoCarnival (School Name)”.This allows on-site security personnel to identify the vehicle and direct it to the correct drop-off/pick-up point.
